Who we are
Fusi Advisory Group is a consulting practice based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. For privacy questions, email contact@fusiadvisorygroup.com.
Private-sector privacy in Alberta is governed by Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies to personal information that crosses provincial or national borders in the course of commercial activity, and in provinces without substantially similar private-sector legislation. The practice should confirm with counsel which statute applies to a given activity.
What the contact form collects
If you submit the enquiry form, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your organization and phone number, if you provide them
- The enquiry type, any service you select, and your message
- A reference code generated for that message
- A rate-limit key derived from your IP address, held temporarily in server memory. Expired keys are pruned as new requests arrive, and all such keys disappear when the server instance restarts. We do not write these keys to a database.
Please do not include government identifiers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive information in the message. The form is for business enquiries.
The form also uses a hidden field and a time check to reduce automated spam. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled by the operator, Cloudflare processes a challenge in your browser. Turnstile is off unless both a site key and a secret key are configured. Cloudflare’s handling of that data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Why we collect it
We use the form contents to read your enquiry and reply. You must acknowledge the privacy notice before submitting a message. That is the purpose. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the form for advertising profiles. The self-assessment on this site runs in your browser. A summary is sent to us only if you choose to include it in a message.
Email delivery
When email delivery is configured, messages are transmitted using Resend, which acts as a service provider. Resend may process message content on servers outside Alberta and outside Canada. Their policy is at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy. If Resend is not configured, the form tells you so and asks you to email contact@fusiadvisorygroup.com directly. The site does not store enquiries in its own database.
A short acknowledgement may be sent to the address you entered. It confirms receipt only.
Analytics
Analytics is off unless the operator sets an environment variable for Plausible. When that variable is set, the site loads a script from Plausible (plausible.io by default). Plausible is a cookieless analytics product. According to Plausible’s data policy, it records page URL, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, and country-level location derived from the IP address, and it does not use the IP address to identify you or store it in a way that can be looked up later. Enquiry form contents are not sent to the analytics provider.
If the variable is not set, this site does not load an analytics script. The site does not use advertising cookies.
Hosting and logs
The site is built to be hosted on a platform such as Vercel, Netlify, or Cloudflare Pages. The host will process technical data required to serve the site, which can include IP address, user agent, and request time in ordinary server or edge logs. Those logs are controlled by the host under its own terms. This application does not add a separate logging database for visitors.
Retention
The intended practice is to keep enquiry correspondence, in the email mailbox, for up to 24 months after the last message in the thread, and longer if a contract or a legal obligation requires it. That period is a proposal for the practice to confirm with counsel before launch. It is not a description of a historical program. Expired in-memory rate-limit keys are periodically pruned as requests arrive; all keys are removed when the hosting instance restarts. They are not shared across instances.
Access, correction, and complaints
You may ask what personal information we hold about you from the form or from correspondence, ask for a correction, or withdraw consent to further contact, by emailing contact@fusiadvisorygroup.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect a message already sent, and it does not affect information we are required to keep.
In Alberta, complaints about private-sector privacy can be made to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada receives complaints under PIPEDA.
Children
This site is a business site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Safeguards
The site is served over HTTPS in production, form handling runs on the server, and email credentials are not placed in pages sent to the browser. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Last updated 2 November 2026.
